From frustration to product

Costrol was not born from a PowerPoint. It was born from living the problem in the field.

2022 – The origin
The problem firsthand
Our founder worked as a construction project administrator in Santiago. Every month, two full days lost cross-referencing bank statements with payments in Excel. At close, projects he thought were profitable showed red numbers. "There has to be a better way," he thought.

2023 – The solution
First internal prototype
With a developer friend, they built the first automatic bank reconciliation engine. They tested it in 3 Santiago construction firms. Result: closing time dropped from 2 days to 20 minutes. Validation was immediate.

2024 – The pivot
From internal tool to SaaS
The construction firms that tried the prototype did not want to give it back. It became clear that the real value was not bank reconciliation, but financial clarity by project. Costrol was redesigned from scratch as a SaaS product focused on that insight.

2024 – Launch
Costrol.cl opens its doors
We launched with 5 beta construction firms in Santiago and Concepción. In 6 months we reached 38 active companies with virtually zero churn. Users do not leave because the problem we solve is too real.

2025 – The road ahead
Expansion and new features
We are building intelligent deviation alerts, SII electronic invoice integration and preparing the expansion to Peru and Colombia. Financial disorder in construction is not just a Chilean problem.
